Tenori si nasce. Flaviano Labò è nato tenore, già perchè i cantanti nati tali, sono pochissimi, essendo la maggior parte ricostruiti da più o meno abili maestri. Egli è in possesso di una voce maschile dolce e grave ad un tempo, elastica ed uguale in tutti i suoi registri, la quale non aveva bisogno di essere educata per risuonare come la classica campana d'argento. L'agile ed intelligente tessitore che seppe dipanare e sviluppare quell'autentica matassa d'oro che sono le corde vocali di Labò fu Campogalliani che ne seppe tendere nel massimo della sua estensione l'oro purissimo.

One is born a tenor. Flaviano Labò was born a tenor, and those who are born as such are very few, the greater part being created from more or less capable music instructors. He possesses a masculine voice, at the same time soft and sweet, flexible and equal in all of its registers, and didn’t need to be taught how to sound like the classic silver bell. The able and intelligent weaver who knew how to unwind and build up that virtual skein of golden threads which are the vocal chords of Labò was Campogalliani, who knew how to stretch their pure gold to the fullest
