Flaviano Labò ha una voce di purissimo cristallo, tutta affidata alla grazia sorgiva, ad un gusto gemmato e vellutato dei toni e dei più difficili passaggi, dai recitativi sommessi, agli acuti dispiegati. La sua voce è stupenda sempre, clima di pathos lirico e di forza espressiva. Una voce in cui non senti il ripiego del falsetto di testa, la scappatoia del virtuosismo, il trucco dell'arte consumata. Inoltre Labò incarna l'immagine nuova del cantante d'opera, un cantante aperto alle mutate condizioni dei tempi; non si è certo lasciato sorprendere da pose istrioniche e conserva un distacco intelligente tra realtà della scena e realtà della vita.
