Il ritorno al Metropolitan della "Forza del destino" di Verdi, ieri sera, ha segnato l'apparire di una nuova stella nel campo dei tenori: Il giovane tenore Flaviano Labò. Il nuovo venuto ha fatto un trionfale debutto nel ruolo di Don Alvaro cantando con un'abbondanza di note brillanti ed una maturità di linea di canto e di fraseggio da smentire la sua giovane età. La sua voce ed il modo in cui viene usata entusiasma ed il suo canto facile e dolce mantiene sempre una linea nobilissima. Nel monologo del 3° atto, ottenne un'ovazione che fermò per un pò lo spettacolo.

The return to the Metropolitan of the Forza del Destino by Verdi last night marked the emerging of a new star in the tenor world: the young tenor Flaviano Labò.
The new arrival made a triumphant debut in the role of Don Alvano singing with an abundance of brilliant notes and a maturity of singing style and phrasing which belies his young age. His voice and the enthusiastic way in which he uses it, as well as his easy and soft singing always maintain a very regal style. In the monologue of the third act he received an ovation which stopped the show .
