In "Cavalleria" il direttore non seppe tenere in pugno la situazione e colmare le sfasature che si sono manifestate numerose. Tutt'altra musica, è il caso di dirlo, con "Pagliacci" dove Flaviano Labò cantò nella parte di Canio e trascinò il tiepido Teatro a calorosissimi applausi, salvando così la serata non solo per la bellezza del suo canto, ma perchè perfettamente calato nel tragico personaggio e pronto a sopperire con la sua personalità artistica alle carenze dell'insieme, quasi che fosse lui a dirigere l'opera dal palcoscenico.

In Cavalleria the conductor was not able to keep the situation under hand and fill the faulty timing which came out numerous times (Labò was not singing).
It was another music, it can be said, with Pagliacci where Flaviano Labò sang in the part of Canio and brought the lukewarm theater to heated applause, thus saving the evening not only for the beauty of his singing, but because he perfectly dropped into the tragic role and was ready with his artistic personality to overcome the overall deficiency, as though he were directing the work from the stage.
